‘Healing isn’t perfect’
The theme for National Reconciliation Week this year was “All In”, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. The theme made it clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change. With Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sunday approaching and NAIDOC Week to follow, Mark Copland has provided the following personal reflection on a recent experience of the Whipping Tree and Healing at Warmun in the Broome Diocese.
