Gerard Spillane is a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. At the recent Clergy Conference of Melbourne priests held at Cape Schanck, June 2024, he gave this address in honouring significant anniversaries of priests at the conference. Both his paternal and maternal grandparents emigrated from Ireland.
