Dick Buchhorn was Parish Priest of Boggabilla in northern NSW when he wrote this paper in preparation for the National Council of Priests Conference, Sydney, May 1979, on the theme of: Priest, Ministry, Church. Dick died on 15 November 2022, and his obituary was in the Autumn edition of The Swag this year. This paper was discovered by Gai Smith of Redfern who is in charge of sorting out Dick’s papers. See her letter to the editor in this edition. Much of what Dick wrote about is still relevant today.
