Adelaide’s new Bishop and the Plenary Council

Rene Pols reports on The Adelaide Archdiocesan Assembly 17-18th and 23rd September.

Archbishop Pat O’Regan is a country boy who grew up and became a priest in the Bathurst diocese. He was appointed in March and consecrated Metropolitan Archbishop of Adelaide on May 25th 2020. Prior to this he had been bishop of Sale for five years, where he had formalised and re-structured the catholic education system and led their diocesan assembly in 2019, the first in 15 years.
