One of renewal and regeneration. He is not about change for the sake of change. Rather it is change which brings with it new life and new energy. It is informed and visionary change in accordance with the spirit of Vatican II.

Change is difficult, it is unsettling. Change can resurrect old anxieties within us. We can feel destabilised and unsure of our orientation. Yet at the same time change can bring about a resurrection within us. It can revitalise our lives and our ministry and set us on a new course into the unknown, which we can embrace with confidence. This is what Pope Francis is endeavouring to bring about in his pontificate.
