Church needs to engage marginalised young Australians

Ashleigh Green, Diocese of Broken Bay, represented the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference at the From Krakow to Panama: The Synod Journeying with Young People meeting held in Rome, 5-9 April, 2017. The meeting was held to engage young people in their hopes for the future of the church. Ashleigh’s presentation focuses on including those often left out. Her report and presentation is reprinted with permission from the ACBC Media Blog, 11 April, 2017.

Organised by the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops, the conference was attended by 270 delegates from 103 countries. Significantly, over half of the delegates were young people.
