Caritas Australia, the international aid and development agency of the Catholic Church, has recently welcomed a new Manager of Community Engagement. Father George Sigamony from Sri Lanka.

Father George brings enormous experience to his new role having fought on the frontlines of battle for social justice for over twenty years. The former National Director of Caritas Sri Lanka, Father George now oversees a team of 16 paid staff and a large contingent of volunteers based across Australia, including 27 Caritas Diocesan Directors.
