Catholic leadership on LGBTI advocacy

The plebiscite on marriage equality may be over but the failure of Catholic leaders to stand up for LGBTI people against bigotry, prejudice and discrimination is very distressing.

It is one thing to see the painful and disappointing silence and public complicity of Catholic leaders in the fight for LGBTI civil rights. It is quite another to see Catholic Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) folks in distress feeling abandoned and even attacked by their own Catholic leadership.
